What data do we collect?

When you register online for our newsletter or an event, fill in our contact form, request a quote or make other requests for any of our services, you will be asked to provide data. In this case, we will only process the data you provide to us yourself. We store this data in a database.

For what purpose do we use personal data?
Data is collected and stored for the following purposes:
  • We use your data for the purpose for which you have given it to us, for example, to prepare an offer, to schedule a demo, or to process your registration for an event and the BIG register.
  • We store data about our customers and potential customers in our CRM system, Salesforce. Most of the data we store here is about the organisation, locations, systems we have provided there and so on. If you work at such a location and indicate this, your name is automatically linked to this location. This allows us, for example, to see who is entitled to free participation in our events. You have the right to ask us whether your name is in Salesforce’s database, and at which location you are registered. If you wish, you can also request us to remove your name from the database.
  • If you indicate that you wish to receive messages from us, we will use your name and e-mail address to send you news and information. You can specifically indicate whether you want this; if you no longer wish to receive news, you can always unsubscribe via the link at the bottom of our newsletter or by sending us an e-mail.
  • When you fill in our contact form, your name and e-mail address or telephone number are needed to provide you with a response. The same applies if you report a problem with a SilverFit system, for example.
By providing data to us, you give us permission to use the data for the above purposes. Some of this data is necessary for us to fulfil our obligations to you-if we come to deliver a SilverFit, for example, we will of course need a contact person!
With whom do we share your personal data?

Data, obtained through the form completed by you on our website are partly sent directly to us by email, and partly included in a database hosted by the company Mailchimp. This data is not shared with other parties unless necessary to provide you with a direct service. For example, we may give your address to the truck driver when he comes to deliver your SilverFit system.

Our website has integrated Facebook buttons in several places. With these, Facebook may also collect information about your online surfing behaviour. More information on Facebook’s privacy policy can be found here. Facebook may transfer your data to the United States. This data transfer takes place under the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework. Analysis of website visitors

Because we like to know who our website visitors are and how our visitors use the website, so that we can optimise the use of the website, we use Google Analytics and HotJar. This is done using analytical cookies. More information on Google Analytics’ policy can be found here. HotJar’s privacy policy can be found here. We do not use your browsing behaviour itself to later show you ads on other websites.

Mailchimp

When you sign up to receive our newsletter, attend a training course or attend an event at SilverFit, you do so via a form provided by Mailchimp. We may use the data you leave here to send you targeted information about what you have signed up to via the form. More information on Mailchimp’s policy can be found here. If we send you a newsletter via Mailchimp, we will be notified when you have opened it. We can also see which articles are viewed by you. This helps us to improve the information we send you.

Social media

We would like to make it as easy as possible for you to share the content of our website via social media. This can be done by means of a number of social media buttons. We have placed the buttons from the following social media channels. Please read the privacy statements of the respective social media channels to find out how they deal with privacy. We help you on your way by sharing the links to the various privacy statements below: Facebook, LinkedIn. If you write comments on SilverFit’s social media pages, we really appreciate it. These comments are public and can usually be read by anyone. If you regret such a comment, you can also delete it yourself.

Disabling or deleting cookies

Links

On our website, you will find links to external websites. Clicking on a link will take you to a website outside SilverFit. These external websites may use cookies. Please refer to the cookie or privacy statement of the website in question.

Retention period

We will not keep your data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was received. If you unsubscribe from our newsletter, we will no longer send you information. Personal data is cleaned up periodically. If you would like us to delete your data immediately, please let us know via an e-mail.

The data we use solely to reply to a message you sent to us via a contact form will be deleted within 3 years of our last correspondence with you. We also keep all correspondence because sometimes we promise things that we want to review later to see exactly what was discussed.

We keep the data in our CRM system for at least 7 years, partly to comply with our legal obligation. We delete this data within one year of the expiry of that obligation. The above period applies unless there are further legal obligations for us to retain and/or keep the data available for longer.

Rights
You always have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your data, after which we will no longer process your data. The withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of our data processing on the basis of your consent, which took place before such withdrawal. You also have the right to access your personal data and the right to rectify your personal data. If you would like to know what personal data we process about you, please send a request for access by email. Should your data be incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant, you can require us to amend or supplement your data. In addition, you have a right to erasure of your personal data, a right to restrict processing and a right to object to processing. Furthermore, you have the right to transfer, or make your data transferable. You can also make a request for this by email. We will process your request within 1 week. Changes

We reserve the right to make changes to this privacy statement. Changes will take effect at the announced time of entry into force.
